I don’t know about you but I love organizing. There is something so therapeutic about clearing clutter. It gives me a sense of peace and clarity. With winter approaching, I know I’m about to be holed up in my house for the next couple of months. So I want it to be as serene and therapeutic as possible. I want to share with you some of my favorite tips and fun ways to organize around the house.

Here are a couple ideas to help you start organizing.

  1. Make a specific place for everything you own. Have all of your cords in one basket, your toiletries, pens, tools, even have a specific place for everything in that dreaded junk drawer.
  2. Use sticky pockets on the inside of your cabinets to hide and organize papers like bills that need to be paid, coupons, grocery lists, envelopes and stamps.
  3. Re purpose leftover used glass jars and containers for later use. Pickles, salsa, spaghetti sauce jars, large coffee cans. If they have labels you can remove them and then label them with their new purpose!
  4. Mason jars are also great for organizing dry goods in your kitchen.
  5. Watch some great shows about organizing. Have you seen The Marie Kondo Method on Netflix yet? I promise after watching this, it will shed a whole new light on clothing and what you truly need. Does it bring you joy?
  6. Podcast are another way to get inspired. Have you listened to An Uncluttered Life. Full of great tips.
  7. This is my favorite recent organizing hack…  Have you ever heard of all the things you can do with a magazine holder?

The many fun ways to organize with a magazine holder

  1. It can store and organize your food products like potatoes, onions and citrus fruits.
  2. Struggle with where to put all your hair equipment? Hold your curling irons, hairdryer and flat irons together in your bathroom in a magazine holder.
  3. You can mount it to the inside of your cupboards and hold all of your plastic wraps, aluminum foils. It can hold all of your cutting boards.
  4. Use it in your freezer to store all of your frozen bags of soups and frozen vegetables.
  5. It can also hold your water bottles and organize your canned goods, it’s so versatile!
