Quick Homemade Taco Seasoning is great to have on hand. I like to make it in bulk and keep it in an airtight container for future use.
The Many Uses of Taco Seasoning.
This seasoning has so many other great uses besides just tacos. Add it to your eggs or in a bake. Maybe spice up your pasta.I love adding this to my Tortilla Soup or even if I want to add some spicy to my vegetables. I more consider this to be an all around seasoning like Everything But The Bagel Seasoning then just a taco seasoning.
I appreciate making my own so I know how much sodium goes into it. These days so many of the packets we buy have so many additional needless additives that are packed full of sodium. It’s important to know what is going into your food.
What is in my quick homemade taco seasoning?
Taco seasoning is made up of
Chili Powder
Cumin
Smoked Paprika
Oregano
Garlic Powder
And my Secret weapon Brown Sugar. A little smokey, with a lot of flavor. You never know when an unexpected taco night might happen. Another staple in our house. We always keep ingredients for tacos on hand. Because they are delicious and because it is one of the only things my husband will actually make besides spaghetti and cereal.
I recommend you play around with this recipe. Everyone is different when it comes to if they like spice or sweetness. Use this as a base and then create a seasoning that you and your family love. Or maybe you’ll find that this is actually spot on for you! Either way I’m happy to share this quick recipe with you.
