Here are some awesome tips and tricks to Stay Hydrated and Drink More Water

  1. Drink a glass right when you get up in the morning. Leaving a glass of water on your night stand is a great way to have access to water immediately when you wake up.
  2. Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before each meal. Not only is this a good way to hydrate but it also speeds up your metabolism and aids in digestion.
  3. Carry a reusable water bottle with you wherever you go. These days you can fill it up just about anywhere. I take my water bottle with me to work, in my car, on walks, even to the grocery store! Here are a couple of cool water bottles.

Examples of some Great Water Bottles.

Water by the Hour Bottle is on the left. It has marks on the bottle to show you how much to consume hourly. So you can feel accomplished every time you drink your hourly goal.

The middle water bottle is my favorite the Hydro Flask. It will keep your water cold for literally hours!

Lastly the water bottle on the right is the Platypus Soft Bottle. The water folds up when your done with it. Great for hikes and walks. It can also fit in your pocket. Now there is no excuse not to bring water with you where ever you go.

4. Personally I love the taste of water but some people don’t. If your looking for a little extra flavor try adding some fruit to it or some flavor packets. This Mami Wata Fruit Infuser water bottle lets you infuse your own fruit and herbs into it! My favorite is lemon, lime and mint.

5. If you are a soda and bubbly drinker, try flavored carbonated water. My favorites are La Croix, Waterloo and Spindrift. A Soda Stream is awesome for making your own flavored carbonated water.

6. You can also try to eat more foods with more water in them if your not a fan of drinking all the liquid.

  • Lettuce
  • Celery
  • Fruits

7. There are also some phone apps that will remind you to drink more water so you can stay as hydrated as possible.

No matter how you plan to hydrate and drink more water, anything is better nothing. Start with an intake goal and work from there. Wellness isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon that leads to good health and longevity.
